Uniform

BSW has a simple, practical approach to uniform; at present, all items can be purchased directly at school.

Our pupils are our ambassadors and it is therefore essential that they convey the highest possible standards of behaviour and appearance. Pupils should ensure that they are in the correct uniform at all times, including thejourney to and from school.

General Appearance

Pupils are encouraged to look tidy and so:

  • long hair should be tied back with hair ties
  • boys' hair should be neat and presentable
  • no make up is permitted including nail polish
  • shirts must be tucked in
  • shoes polished
  • shoelaces should be tied
  • when ties are worn top button should be fastened
  • skirts must be to the knee
The uniform policy is specific to certain age groups and this is explained below.

Nursery: there is currently no school uniform.

Reception – Year 2: white BSW polo shirt (short or long-sleeved); blue BSW sweater; grey trousers or skirt. These items should be purchased from the School Office.

Year 3 and above: plain white dress shirt (should be purchased separately); blue BSW sweater; grey trousers or skirt; BSW necktie (these items should be purchased from the School Office). Please note that the tie is compulsory.

Other items: available to buy in the School Office we also have winter and summer BSW hats as well as replacement BSW book bags and PE shirts.

Art aprons will be provided by the School if required to protect clothing during Art periods.
